May and Herbert Gibbs Collection
In 1997, the City of South Perth acquired a collection 150 paintings and sketches by renowned artists May Gibbs and her father Herbert Gibbs.
The Gibbs family were long-time residents of Suburban Rd, now known as Mill Point Rd, and many of the works in the collection were produced in South Perth.
A collection of original and commercially printed postcards created by May and her father Herbert Gibbs.
A broad range of artwork produced by May and her father Herbert Gibbs, who lived in the South Perth area for 20 years and 40 years, respectively.
A collection of 28 letters and correspondence between May Gibbs and friends donated to the City of South Perth by a family friend of the Gibbs family.
